Ann Pipitone, of Parkville Senior Center, celebrates her 100th birthday.

On July 16th at the Parkville Senior Center, Ann Pipitone, a three year member of the center, celebrated her 100th birthday. Ann likes to participate in trivia, attend music events, and socialize. She is a fan of Big Band music, and speaks fondly of her years dancing to the greatest hits of her time.

Ann was born in Rhode Island to an Italian immigrant family, and moved to the Baltimore area after marrying her late husband. Ann and her husband had two children, and one grandchild. Ann’s husband was a first class petty officer for the U.S. Navy and his profession allowed them to travel the world, visiting many countries in their 63 years of marriage. Ann credits her life of 100 years to living life simply, putting her stock into family, friends, dancing and having a grateful heart filled with happiness.
