Grand Opening of The Americana in Canton
The Americana, a brand new full service bar/restaurant in Canton, opened on Aug. 27.
The Americana, a brand new full service bar/restaurant in Canton opened late last month.
Sprawling over 2 floors and 2000 square feet the Americana boasts eight large flat screen TV’s, two full size bars, and an extensive beer list of forty craft, domestic and import beers, and an ever-expanding liquor assortment. The second floor can accommodate any type of event, and includes an outside deck that seats twenty for al fresco dining.
The kitchen at the Americana is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The menu offers an array of options: appetizers including Crispy Old Bay Wings, Salmon Jalapeño Poppers and Irish Nachos; Sandwiches include the Oyster Po Boy and Chicken Monterey; and an extensive list of dinner entrees including the Maple Mustard Pork Tenderloin, Blackened Chicken Penne Pasta and a delicious Vegan Trio. The Americana is a family friendly restaurant that also offers a kids menu, desert menu and a full brunch menu. For those in a rush for lunch, they also offers a carry out/curbside service.

Owned and operated by Alex van Breukelen, a US Marine, the Americana promises a great sense of community involvement.
“We want to continue to serve our Country by giving back to the Canton community, Baltimore City and all of the visitors who come to see what Baltimore has to offer,” van Breukelen said.

“The Americana is not only focused on provided unparalleled food, drinks and service, we will strive to give back to the community, firefighters, police, teachers, medical professionals and of course all of our Military veterans.”
The Americana has already become a sponsor for a number of Habitat for Humanity events, several Veteran-owned non-profit organizations and the September 11th Run to Remember.
The Americana is currently open for business, in soft opening mode. Conveniently located two blocks north of Canton Square at 900 South Kenwood Ave (the corner of Kenwood and Hudson).
