Crime Log: Man Follows Woman Home, Steals a Cell Phone

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8700 block. 2 p.m., Aug. 22. A man asked a woman for a cigarette—she had none. He then followed back to her apartment and, as she tried to close the door, he stole a cell phone.
Taylor Avenue, 1300 block. 2:25 a.m., Aug. 23. A man entered the 7-Eleven, produced a black handgun and forced the clerk to open the registers. He took an unspecified amount of money and fled.
