Crime: Man Attempts to Burglarize M&T Bank Branch

Carney
Harford Road, 9800 block. At approximately 4:40 pm Aug. 8. Cash and a plasma television were reported stolen from a home after burglars broke a rear kitchen door to gain access. The damage to the home is valued at $100.
Eastford Court, 100 block. Between 8 am Aug. 6 and 7 am Aug. 8. Someone attempted to break into a home by using a grill brush to pry open a rear door. When the initial attempt failed, the burglar used a rock to break a front window and apparently fled without gaining access to the home. The attempt caused $100 in damage to the home.

Parkville
Harford Road, 8200 block. Between 9:30 and 9:40 pm Aug. 9. A man was captured on a surveillance camera as he unlocked the door to the M&T Bank branch and proceeded inside, where he walked around then exited through the front door using a key, police said.

The man shown on the tape is described by police as a white male with gray facial hair between 40 and 50 years old, approximately six feet tall and weighing roughly 240 pounds. At the time, the man was wearing camouflage pants and a camouflage hat, a black shirt, white socks and sandals.
Old Harford Road, 8400 block. Between 11:30 pm Aug. 7 and 4:30 pm Aug. 8. A purple and white girl's 20-inch Trouble bicycle with serial number 001679020270 was stolen from the patio of a second floor apartment.
Glenroy Avenue, 8800 block. Between 12 pm Aug. 5 and 8 am Aug. 6. A FedEx package sitting in the foyer of an abandoned home under renovation was reported stolen after a burglar forced open a basement window to gain access. The value of the package is unknown, but a broken window resulting from the burglary caused $200 in damage.
Putty Hill Avenue, 3200 block. Between 5 and 10 pm Aug. 5. A black 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier with a spoiler and Maryland license plates 6DNE50 was reported stolen from the street. All of the keys have been accounted for and the vehicle was locked. The car is valued at $5,000.
Loch Raven
Cromwell Bridge Road, 1600 block. At 11:35 am Aug. 10. A juvenile student at the Arrow Center for Education was arrested and charged with first-degree assault after he allegedly struck a teacher with a chair. The teacher was transported by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
