Drive Smart to Raise Cash for Parkville High

A local dealership and Lincoln will donate money to Parkville High for every person who takes a test drive Saturday.

If you're looking for something cool to do this weekend, why not test drive a sweet new ride while helping raise money for ?

This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at , 1845 E. Joppa Road, every person who test drives a Lincoln MKX crossover, MKZ hybrid/sedan or full-size MKS will earn $20 for Parkville High School and be entered in a drawing for a 32GB iPod Touch.

Lexa Newman, a Parkville High spokeswoman, said the donations go toward a general fund that helps students cover costs associated with extracurricular academics, sports and music.

Parkville High School students from the varsity football team and service clubs will also be conducting their own fundraisers, Newman said.

The football team is working with Coats for Kids to collect gently-used or new winter apparel and the service club is looking for items to put into military care packages they send overseas.
