UPDATED: Firefighters Extinguish Early-Morning Blaze in Parkville
Fire crews took an hour to control a blaze that broke out in a business on the 7700 block of Harford Road early Wednesday morning.
The cause of a fire that engulfed a storage shed behind on Harford Road remains under investigation Wednesday morning, police and fire officials said.
Baltimore County firefighters were dispatched to the business, located at 7716 Harford Road, at 4:14 a.m. on Wednesday. Fire crews reported that the building was completely engulfed with the fire most active toward the rear of the building, said Detective Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police and fire spokeswoman.
Assisted by Baltimore City firefighters, the Baltimore County team controlled the fire by 4:59 a.m., Batton said.

"An arson team was requested to the scene, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation," Batton said.
Superior Sharpening Works owner Mark Prietz was still outside the shop later in the morning.

"I found out at 5:26 a.m. when a police officer knocked on my apartment door," Prietz said. "My phone was ringing, he was knocking at the door — the officer said 'Do you own Superior Sharpening?' and I said yes, he said 'It's on fire.' and I said 'No!'."
Prietz said that the fire engulfed a shed behind the store that was used to store lawn care tools, chain saws, and two-cycle oil among other things. No damage was caused to the actual showroom, save for the doors being broken and the roof being damaged by firefighters combating the blaze.
Prietz, who has owned the shop for the past 4 years and who was a mechanic there previously, also lost a 2001 Harley Davidson Wide-glide motorcycle that he was keeping at the store.
"I just put new chrome on it, and I was working on that bike too," he said. "I'll be having a funeral for the Harley."
Prietz and building owner Bob Nelson were waiting on site for a fire investigator around 10 a.m.
"It caught fire, that's all I know — it's just a waiting game now," Prietz said.
