UPDATED: Roads Reopened After Barricade Situation

Police said a man in emotional distress has barricaded himself inside a home on Goodview Road.

UPDATED (6:28 p.m.) — A barricade situation in the Hillendale Park neighborhood has been resolved and roads are reopened.

Police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton told Patch that a man in emotional distress is in police custody and the barriace situation has ended.

Some roads in Hillendale were closed Friday afternoon as Baltimore County police officers attempted to resolve a barricade situation.

A man in emotional distress barricaded himself inside a Goodview Road home shortly after 1 p.m., according to Cpl. Cathleen Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman.

"As far as we know there are no weapons, no injuries to report and no hostages inside the building," Batton said.

Batton told Patch that there wereroad closures in the area as officers attempted to "peacefully resolve the situation."

She did not provide any further information about which roads in the area would be closed by police, but advised commuters to avoid the area.
