New Carryout To Open In Place of Former Giorgio's

Acting on a tip from a reader, I stopped by Giorgio's Restaurant and Carryout Monday afternoon.

Nichole Fuhrman asked via Facebook whether or not the restaurant had burned down.

I'm happy to report a definitive 'no' as the answer to that question, there was no apparent fire damage at the location.

However, as indicated by a sign hanging in the window, Giorgio's is closed — it will soon be replaced by Stoko's Carryout, which currently has a location on York Road inside Baltimore City.

One of the owners of the new store, Johnny Singh, was there on Monday and told Patch that Stoko's was looking forward to moving into the neighborhood.
