New Tenant For Former Joppa Road Giant

The vacancy in Joppa Heights shopping center will be filled by a Savers, Inc. store.

A commercial vacancy in the Joppa Heights shopping center has a new tenant: Savers, Inc.

The new store will take over space left vacant when Giant moved out of the shopping center back in March 2007 and bring about 40 new jobs to the area, according to a statement from Fifth District Councilman David Marks announcing the new shop.

According to the company website, Savers is a thrift store whose "inventory comprises unique, quality used goods as well as new merchandise, including closeouts on great items not found at other thrift stores."
