Now Hiring: Software QA Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Mid-level software tester to work as a member of a cross-functional team to implement testing processes, tools and systems, testing methodologies, and best practices to deliver high quality products on time. Is responsible for assuring quality of Digital Innovation’s medical database products and customized solutions.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and document test plans, test cases and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements, specifications, and technical design.
* Execute test plans for project application and product releases, including a review of identified issues with the Project/Product Manager.
* Develop reusable test data that covers all common use and edge cases.
* Lead technical testing efforts on multiple simultaneous projects including functional, system, and performance testing activities.
* Evaluate test results and report and manage discrepancies using Bug Tracking tools
* Recommend and implement improvements to optimize testing processes.
* Evaluate tools for test reporting, test management, test automation, etc. and educate the team as required to be able to use those tools.
* Estimate the needed testing effort by calculating the sizing needed for the given release and plan the effort needed for the same.
* Analyze and/or resolve issues by effectively communicating and cooperating in team-oriented project situations with development, technical support and Project/Product Manager
* Identify and collect the required quality metrics and work to put them in place.
* Mentor and train DI staff on testing methodologies and best practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* BS or BA degree in Information Systems or related field required
* 3+ years of software testing and/or Quality Assurance experience required
* Knowledge of relational databases and SQL required
* Strong written and oral communication skills required
* Demonstrated high degree of motivation and a commitment to meet project deadlines
* Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and remain highly productive
* Self-starter with good leadership experience
* Ability to work independently and as a part of QA team
* Experience with automated testing tools, desired
