Parkville/Carney Crime: Juveniles Arrested After Alleged Burglary Attempt

Whitelaw Place, unit block. At 11 a.m. May 20. A white Apple iPhone with a pink cover was stolen from an apartment. The victim was on her back patio and saw a man enter her unlocked apartment, take the phone and flee.
The burglar may be driving a black Toyota Solara.
Willoughby Road, 3300 block. At 11:30 a.m. May 21. Three juveniles were arrested and charged in connection with an attempted burglary.

The victim, who was home from school, reported two burglars trying to get inside through a basement window while one stood as lookout. The victim said the burglars fled after he confronted them and that he knew one of them from a previous friendship.
Police later arrested the teens and charged them with third-degree burglary after they were positively identified by the victim.
