Parkville/Carney Crime: Arrest Made in Wheelchair Burglary

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Pinedale Drive, 4100 block. Between 12 and 2:45 p.m. Jan. 18. A home was broken into but nothing was stolen. Entry was gained through a window after an attempt to pry open a patio door was unsuccessful.

Ridgetown Road, 8100 block. At 5:04 p.m. Jan. 18. Two men attempted to break into an apartment, but a resident called 911 and the men fled before police arrived.

Linwood Avenue, 3000 block. At 10:25 p.m. Jan. 17. Tiffany Lynn Krache, 40, and David Carl Linham, 50, both of Parkville, were arrested and charged with second-degree burglary. Krache and Linham were loading two motorized wheelchairs into a truck that had been taken from a vacant home when police arrived.

Orbitan Road, 9200 block. At 3:55 a.m. Jan. 16. A man broke into a home and attempted to steal a television, but fled when he was confronted by the homeowner—an 81-year-old woman.

The burglar had pried open a shed behind the home, but did not steal anything. The suspect then forced open a rear basement door to get inside the home, breaking a window on the door in the process. Once inside, the suspect tampered with and unplugged a television before he was confronted by the homeowner at which point he fled the home.

Police responded with a helicopter and K9 units to search for the burglar but were only able to track him to the end of nearby Upton Road. The suspect is described as a male in his mid-20s, approximately 5-foot-8, weighing about 180 pounds with a medium to husky build.

Upridge Court, 2800 block. Between 12 p.m. Jan. 11 and 4 p.m. Jan. 16. A black Huffy Cruiser bicycle was stolen from a storage locker.

Nunley Drive, 8300 block. Between Jan. 12 and 5 p.m. Jan. 16. Someone broke into a storage locker after removing the lock-boxes inside. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.
