The victim was leaving work at the DogWatch Tavern in the 700 block of South Broadway when she was hit, according to WJZ. Redd also crashed into a bar that has since been boarded up, the TV station reported.
Although Redd sped away, officers intercepted him at the intersection of Broadway and Eastern Avenue, according to police, who administered a breathalyzer test.

Court records show that Redd, 28, of the 2900 block of Cold Stream Way in Parkville, is charged with three counts of endangering people or property while intoxicated, two counts of second-degree assault, first-degree assault and malicious destruction of property greater than $1,000.
A Baltimore judge ruled Monday that Redd would be denied bail because of prior convictions, according to WBAL.
Redd pleaded guilty to a 1997 assault with intent to murder and was sentenced to approximately eight months, court records show. He was then on probation for five years.
From 2002 to 2014, Redd was in prison for violating probation by having a handgun on his person, The Baltimore Sun reported. His sister told the newspaper Sunday that he had been “doing great” since his release in October 2014 and had asked her how the woman was doing once he learned he hit her.
The 27-year-old woman Redd hit in the crash was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital in serious but stable condition, Baltimore Police reported.
DogWatch Tavern collected donations during the Super Bowl for her recovery, and a GoFundMe page has raised more than $45,000 as of Monday afternoon for her as well.
A woman who identified herself as the victim’s mother said on the fundraising page that the 27-year-old was having surgery Monday to for injuries that are “not life threatening but most definitely life altering.”
