Police Promise Extra Officers for Parkville Prom

According to the Baltimore County Police Department a special detail will begin this Saturday.

It's prom season: a time to party, dance and create the memories that will last a lifetime.

To ensure that students stay safe after their Saturday evening prom, Baltimore County police have assigned a special traffic enforcement detail to the Parkville precinct.

According to a news release from the police department, officers will focus on any and all traffic violations—speeding, aggressive driving and especially driving under the influence.

Seven officers and one sergeant will focus their efforts on the Parkville area from 8 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday.

So, if you're heading to prom this weekend at Overlea, Parkville or Loch Raven High school have fun, and make sure you stay safe.
