Pregnant Woman Killed In Parkville, Husband Denied Bail: Police
Police said that the father assaulted several people after fatally shooting his wife in Parkville, and he is on revoked bail status.

PARKVILLE, MD — A woman is dead, her husband is in jail and their newborn child is hospitalized after a case of domestic violence in Parkville that took place this week. One of their children was also injured by the father, who was charged with assault, attempted murder, child abuse and burglary.
Eric Maurice Glass, 30, of the 2500 block of Wentworth Road, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, a judge ruled during a bail review hearing on Thursday.
Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Wentworth Road for a disturbance before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1. Officials said Glass shot his wife, shot himself in the head and punched their 14-year-old son.

When the teen and other children in the residence tried to seek refuge at a neighbor's house, officials said Glass forced his way inside and assaulted people there. Another neighbor detained Glass until law enforcement arrived.
Police said the assailant's wife — Jasmine Alisha Kennedy, 30 — was taken to a local hospital, where medical personnel determined she was pregnant and were able to remove the child from her.

Kennedy was in critical condition, and officials said she was taken off life support and pronounced deceased at 5:38 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2.
The newborn child was listed in critical but stable condition, officials reported Thursday.
For helping the children — ages 6, 11 and 14 years old — and detaining Glass the night of the shooting, the neighbors were credited with ensuring the tragic situation did not end with further destruction.
After assaulting people inside the neighbor's house, Glass allegedly punched a pedestrian outside on the street, where he was ultimately tackled by another neighbor, according to WBAL; after police arrived, the news station reported officers had to use a Taser on Glass because he would not follow police direction.
"There could have been a lot more people hurt," Corporal Shawn Vinson, spokesman for the Baltimore County Police Department, told WBAL.
It took three officers to bring Glass into custody even after he was Tased, according to The Baltimore Sun.
Multiple people required medical attention. Glass was treated at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital since the bullet he shot at himself was lodged in his head; a woman he punched in the face next door was taken to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center; and Kennedy received care at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to the newspaper, which noted the teen who was punched was Glass's stepson.
The Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office plans to upgrade the charges against Glass, which are currently first and second-degree assault, attempted first-degree murder, second-degree child abuse and third-degree burglary.
Glass is set to appear in Baltimore County District Court for a preliminary hearing on June 1.
