Seigneury Dojo celebrates opening & ribbon cutting ceremony attended by US Congressman Ruppersberger & State Delegate Miele

Grand Opening of new and expanded home for Judo 4 Kids Program at the Seigneury Dojo

Baltimore, February 20, 2016: Seigneury Dojo, the oldest and most title decorated martial arts school in Baltimore has it’s grand opening February 20, 2016 at 1:30pm. 

 The opening will highlight the accomplishments of its students which include 26 Maryland State Champions, 8 National Champions, several International Champions, and countless students who have participated in the Judo 4 Kids program.  The ceremony includes a ribbon cutting with honored guests from US Congressman Ruppersberger and Maryland Delegate Miele’s offices accompanied by local fire and police representatives. This dedication will be followed by live demonstrations of judo, jujitsu, and karate. 

Sensei Mike Veader, founder of the Michael Veader Judo 4 Kids program will host this dedication and speak about his 28 years helping kids and young adults in the Baltimore community.  The program has offered a safe, fun, and positive after-school environment to at-risk kids while teaching the founding principles of confidence, discipline, and respect. Sensei Mike’s commitment to kids and young adults has not only produced champions at all levels, but has also changed countless lives regardless of students’ financial situations.

The event will be February 20th with doors opening at 1:30pm, the ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 2:00pm, and live demonstrations starting at 2:30pm.
