The area average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $3.521, compared to $3.565 last week.

The lowest price for a gallon of regular unleaded in the area is $3.459 — slightly below the average.

Six months ago you would have actually paid more to fuel up, at a cost of $3.548 per gallon of regular unleaded; last year you might have paid just $2.625.
