TODAY: Free Rita's on First Day of Spring

Spring is officially here, and that means free Rita's Italian Ice. 

Today only you can "be cool", as the chain's slogan says, and get a free regular-sized italian ice of your choice.

Rita's has locations at 2201 East Joppa Road and 7698 Belair Road; both locations are open until 9 p.m. If you're planning on claiming a free treat for yourself, expect a line.

This is the business' 20th year offering the freebie, and it's also the debut of a national televised advertising campaign, according to a company press release.

But if you miss today's promotion, no worries—there's still July 11, when offers free Slurpees.
