Tractor-Trailer Flipped on I-95 Near I-695: Transportation Officials
Crash with hazmat on Interstate 95 near Baltimore took nearly 12 hours to clear, authorities said.
BALTIMORE, MD — A tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 95 caused backups for southbound traffic Monday evening and required about 11 hours to clear, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA).
All lanes were blocked on I-95 south past exit 64/I-695 due to an overturned tractor-trailer, the MDTA reported before 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
Drivers were advised to take US 40 as an alternate route Monday evening and to anticipate delays on I-695 and I-95 south.

After 10:30 p.m., southbound lanes remained closed, while the express lanes were open. Authorities were tending to the overturned tractor trailer, which reportedly required hazmat response.
At 4:45 a.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority said that all lanes had reopened on I-95 south past exit 64/I-695.
