Visions for Vacancies: Humanim on Harford Road

What would you like to see done with this vacant commercial space?

Humanim, a not-for-profit agency founded in 1971, has been doing good works, serving individuals with disabilities, in the Baltimore area for over 40 years.

Until recently, one of the locations from which they served their community was at 8116 Harford Road. The organization moved to the American Brewery Building downtown, in order to expand and take part in the Brewery’s restoration. The Harford Road location, while still bearing Humanim’s name, is now vacant.

Built in 1965, the Berger Building, which housed Humanim on Harford Road, is advertising its 2,232 square foot office space as available for rent at $1.38 per square foot, according to the real estate website Rofo.

However, some other real estate web sites, such as Cityfeet, no longer carry the listing. Perhaps the empty office is slated to be open for a new business soon.

What kind of business would you like to see on this busy section of Harford Road, just south of Garnet Road?
