11-Year-Old Boy Rescued from Hole in Rosedale

Tactical rescuers were deployed Sunday night to save child in Rosedale trapped underground, Baltimore County officials said.

ROSEDALE, MD – An 11-year-old boy was rescued from a hole in Rosedale Sunday night, according to Baltimore County public safety officials.

Authorities said two boys had fallen through a mulched area, and only one was able to get out on his own from the hole in the 6300 block of Kenwood Avenue.

It took first responders approximately 30 minutes to rescue the boy who was trapped, officials reported.

Both boys were hospitalized with serious injuries that officials said were not believed to be life-threatening.
