16 Sweet Years of Tree Lighting Magic at THE AVENUE at White Marsh!

3 days?! Where did the time go?  Time to mark your calendars because THE AVENUE at White Marsh Annual Tree Lighting is just around the corner! This year, Friday, November 22nd, THE AVENUE at White Marsh celebrates 16 sweet years of tree lighting magic shared with our wonderful local community! Special welcome

back to Jamie Costello, of ABC2News, as our emcee. Jamie shared our very first tree lighting ceremony with us at THE AVENUE at White Marsh. We are ecstatic to have him returning to kick off our 16th holiday season.

NEW this year, we will be featuring a LIVE mega screen Twitter feed! Follow us @THEAVENUEatWM and tweet your #holidaymagicmoment while at the Tree Lighting to be featured on the big screen, share holiday messages or request a sing-a-long!

If you are attending, the drive lanes from Tilted Kilt to Verizon will be closed to traffic in order to provide an area for the stage and standing room for our guests!  Musial entertainment will begin at 6:00pm.  We will have flashing reindeer noses, paper reindeer hats, magic glasses for children in attendance and a little something special for those who visit with Santa. These giveaways are available while supplies last and distribution will begin at 6:00pm.

At approximately 6:50pm, Jamie Costello will take the stage to welcome our guests, as well as Santa and Mrs. Claus!  By 7pm we will begin the countdown...and if we have enough believers out in the crowd… the tree will light, the snow machines will kick on and the dueling piano sing-a-long performance will continue until 8:00pm.

Once the tree is lit, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available in front of the tree for photos and visits.   The line for visits with Santa will be set up to enter on the Tilted Kilt side of the plaza.  Families can also enjoy an outdoor screening of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Remember to bring your camera and hope to see you there!
