After Rosedale Homicide, Police Seek Tips

Police said two men were shot in a parking lot in Rosedale when they got home Tuesday night. There may be a reward for information.

ROSEDALE, MD — Police said a Rosedale man died in a double shooting Tuesday night. Investigators believe the victims were targeted.

Officials said two men arrived home in the 2000 block of Kelbourne Road shortly after 7 p.m. when someone in the parking lot shot them, then left.

Trevor Hamlet, 31, of the 2000 block of Kelbourne Road, was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police reported Wednesday.

The other shooting victim remains hospitalized and is expected to survive, official said.

Detectives believe the victims were targeted and this is an isolated incident.

ORIGINAL REPORT: Two people were shot in Rosedale Tuesday night, according to police.

Both were taken to local hospitals, and their conditions were unknown, Detective Rob Reason told Patch around 10:40 p.m.

Just after 7 p.m., two men were shot in the 2000 block of Kelbourne Road, according to Reason. He said detectives remained at the scene investigating after 10:30 p.m.

Stating it was "early in the investigation," Reason said it was unclear what happened and whether any suspects had been identified.
