2 Snowball Stand Burglaries, Man Held Up At Home: Police Blotter

A resident was robbed at gunpoint, plus several business burglaries were reported in the area to the Baltimore County Police Department.

PERRY HALL, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about incidents in and around Perry Hall. Recent crimes reported include four burglaries at area businesses, including a pair of snowball stands. A resident was also robbed at gunpoint at his own home in White Marsh in the early hours last weekend, police said.

A gas pump and gas can containing fuel were stolen from the Conewago Enterprises Inc. construction site in the 5300 block of Nottingham Drive. The break-in occurred after the lock was broken on a trailer at the site. The burglary happened between 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, and 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 18.

A resident was robbed at gunpoint in the unit block of Beaver Oak Court as he returned home between 1:45 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Sunday, July 14. The suspect forced the victim into his home and ransacked the residence before taking off with cash and credit cards. Police said two credit cards have been found since the armed robbery.

A storage trailer at Koons Chevrolet in the 10200 block of Philadelphia Road was burglarized. Car paint, painting supplies and tools were taken from the trailer, which belonged to C R Wheel Solutions LLC. The burglary happened sometime between 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, and 1 a.m. on Sunday, July 14.

Someone broke the front window to the E-Kids Snowball stand in the 5800 block of Allender Road, then ransacked the business before leaving. The burglary occurred at 12:26 a.m. on Monday, July 15.

The BMORE Ice snowball stand was burglarized between 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, and 9 a.m. on Monday, July 15. The stand in the 10900 block of Pulaski Highway was ransacked, and cash was stolen.

"There's nothing that you're going to get from snowball stands except for sugar and water, napkins and spoons," the business reported on the BMORE Ice Facebook page. "It's just crazy." To show support for the business, it encouraged people: "Go out and get a snowball today. It's going to be 100 degrees."
