4 Charged in Pizza Delivery Driver Stabbing

Four people face charges including attempted murder in connection with the stabbing of a pizza delivery driver in Essex earlier this week, police said Friday.

At 11:22 p.m. on Monday, first responders were called to the 1100 block of Tace Drive in Essex for a robbery, police said in the initial report.

A 20-year-old man was going to make a pizza delivery when he was stabbed and robbed of his personal property, the report said. The property did not include his vehicle, according to Cpl. John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries, the extent of which police said Friday were unknown.

Four people were charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and robbery in connection with the incident, police said:

• Raquawn Montrel Harrison, 18, of the 900 block of Holgate Drive, Essex
• Jonathan Richard Fly, 19, of the 5200 block of King Avenue, Rosedale
• Michael Frederick Powell, 17, of the unit block of Helmsman Court, Essex
• Davonte Montrell Eckeard, 16, of the 1400 block of Hadwick Drive, Essex

The suspects were being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bail, according to police.

Powell and Eckeard were charged as adults, police said. Preliminary hearings have been scheduled in their cases for July 3 in Baltimore County District Court.

Harrison and Fly have preliminary hearings slated for July 25.
