The Baltimore Sun reported that a 2023 shooting in the same block killed one and hurt four.
WMAR said the 2023 shooting happened in the parking lot outside the eatery BBQ Tonite.
Owner Sonny Awan told WMAR these shootings are no longer isolated incidents.
“It’s just that overnight, I don’t understand what exactly… why this becomes a place where some crime like that happens and it’s been happening constantly,” Awan told WMAR. “It’s pretty norm, and that’s the saddest part.”
