Farm-To-Table Eatery Closes Down Baltimore Co. Site

The Local on The Avenue in White Marsh has closed its doors to customers.

PERRY HALL, MD — Less than three years after opening, a farm-to-table eatery has closed down its White Marsh location.

Diners headed to the Local on The Avenue last Friday were met with "closed" signage and an apology for the inconvenience.

That same day, executive chef Zack Trabbold issued a statement addressing the closure.

The Local namesake was launched by Trabbold through his Fallston flagship location in Harford County. It operates under the Evolved Hospitality Group.

"While we shared the same name, our organization has not operated that location for approximately one year, and it's been under separate management," Trabbold said.

"We're saddened to hear of its closure as we understand firsthand the challenges of small businesses, that small businesses face and the dedication it takes to succeed in this industry."

The Local on The Avenue first opened in the White Marsh area in August 2023, taking up the space that previously housed Wayward Smokehouse.
