ROSEDALE, MD — "Several juveniles" were arrested Friday in connection with incidents reported at a large gathering near the Kenwood Shopping Center in Rosedale.
Baltimore County Police said groups of young individuals had congregated at the 6200 block of Hazelwood Avenue late Friday.
Authorities did not specify what behavior prompted the police response, describing the incidents solely as "disturbances."
"The Baltimore County Police Department wants young people to be able to enjoy themselves safely. However, when gatherings escalate into criminal activity or disorderly behavior, officers will take appropriate enforcement action," reads a release issued by the agency.
"We encourage parents and guardians to know their children’s whereabouts and discuss the importance of making safe decisions. Large gatherings can quickly become unpredictable, placing young people in unfamiliar and potentially unsafe situations."
The total number of arrests made was also not disclosed by officials.
