Baltimore Co. Fireworks Shows Set Make-Up Dates After July 4 Washouts

After Fourth of July rainouts, Baltimore County communities have set new dates for a few fireworks celebrations.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — After rain washed out many Fourth of July celebrations, two Baltimore County communities have rescheduled their fireworks displays over the next few weeks.

The first of two rescheduled shows will take place Saturday, Aug. 22, at Watersedge Park in Dundalk as part of the Waterfront Concert in the Park event.

The festivities get underway at 8278 Bullneck Road between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., and will include two live performances, food trucks and a mix of vendor selections. The fireworks display is scheduled to start around 9:20 p.m.

Admission to the August event is free, and parking will be provided at the entrance to Watersedge Park. A shuttle service will run throughout the event.

Organizers say residents will also have the option to "dock up and enjoy the show" if they prefer to watch the fireworks display from the water.

Kingsville Fireworks

The second rescheduled fireworks show is booked for Sept. 19 at the Mount Vista Park, at 11101 Raphel Road, according to the organizers behind Kingsville Fireworks.

"We know you've been waiting for this announcement, and we truly appreciate your patience as we worked behind the scenes to make this happen," reads a statement from Kingsville Fireworks.

"Rescheduling a fireworks event isn't as simple as picking a new date. It normally takes months of coordination with the county, first responders, our fireworks company, vendors, volunteers, and many other partners to ensure everyone can safely come together for an amazing community celebration."

Officials have not yet released details regarding the schedule of events but say they will be forthcoming.
