Trade Program Sets Sights On Tackling Youth Crime (patch.com) — Perry Hall families are hearing about a new trade-focused youth program that aims to cut juvenile crime by teaching teens skills like HVAC, plumbing, electrical work and welding. The pilot has already served dozens of students and could expand countywide for free if its creators, local legislative candidates Yahu Blackwell and Glen Geelhaar, win in November. Residents can get involved now by contacting the organizers directly.
   

• Monthslong Closure Coming To Baltimore County Park (patch.com) — Angel Park playground in Perry Hall will close from Sept. 14 through Nov. 1 so crews can fully resurface the well-used play area with a safer rubber surface. County leaders are backing the renovation, and park administrators plan to share updates as work progresses, so families should plan alternate play options during the shutdown.
