BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Mark your calendars, folks: the county animal shelter will be hosting a special holiday-themed adoption event in Baldwin.
The second annual "Santa Paws: Home for the Holidays" adoption event will be held at 13800 Manor Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The event is held in partnership with Today's 101.9 morning show hosts Greg Carpenter and Gina Crash, who will broadcast live from the shelter.
Adoption fees will be waived for all available animals, including dogs, cats, kittens and other pets.
"Last year's Santa Paws event was an incredible success, with more than 40 animals finding their forever homes in just a few hours," Dr. René Varela, bureau director for Baltimore County Animal Services, said in a statement.
"We're hoping to build on that success this year and, with the community's support, help even more animals find loving families. If you've been thinking about adopting, this is a wonderful opportunity to find your match while making a meaningful difference in the life of a shelter pet."
A county-issued release noted the inaugural event resulted in 43 pet adoptions.
All pets adopted through Baltimore County Animal Services are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, according to the agency.
