Apartment Fire Injures 4 People: Baltimore County Fire Department

Baltimore County fire officials say there were multiple people injured in an apartment fire Sunday near White Marsh.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Multiple people were injured in an apartment fire near Middle River Sunday afternoon. The three-alarm blaze broke out around 3:30 p.m., and authorities said crews remained there three hours later.

Firefighters received a 911 call from Dehavilland Way for a report of smoke coming from the building, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. Responding crews found heavy fire at the apartment building.

Two firefighters and two others were injured, officials said.

Early on in the response, the Baltimore County Police Department helped ensure people did not come back into the building.

Reports of objects being thrown at firefighters could not be confirmed, according to officials, who reported none of the firefighters' injuries stemmed from being hit by anything.

Officials said the fire department would conduct an after-action review, which is standard after any multi-alarm fire.
