Apartment Fire Near Franklin Square Knocked: Officials

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Fire broke out at an apartment near Franklin Square Tuesday afternoon, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. One person was at the location, and that person's status was unknown.

Crews were dispatched to the 9100 block of Abigail Drive at 2:56 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, officials reported. Firefighters initially saw smoke when they arrived, then said they discovered fire in the ground-floor apartment.

By 3:30 p.m., officials said the fire had been knocked, and fire investigators were summoned.
