Armed Robbery Attempt At Perry Hall Wells Fargo ATM Reported

Do you recognize this man? He tried to rob a woman outside a bank on Belair Road, pressing a knife into her back, police allege.

PERRY HALL, MD — After a man held a woman at knife-point outside a bank on Belair Road, police have released photos of the suspect. Authorities are asking for assistance from the public in identifying him.

The suspect is described as a thin man who is about 6 feet tall and approximately 20 years old.

According to police, he went up to a 71-year-old woman at the ATM outside Wells Fargo bank in the 8800 block of Belair Road, held a knife to her back and ordered her to take money out of the machine.

Instead, the woman started screaming for help, and the suspect ran away toward Verdel Road, where police said he got into a dark SUV-type vehicle.

The robbery happened around noon on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, according to authorities. Suspect photos were released by police on Tuesday, Jan. 29.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the crime is asked to call the Baltimore County Police Department's Investigative Services Team at the White Marsh Precinct at 410-887-5000. Callers may remain anonymous.
