How Perry Hall's Delegates Voted on Same-Sex Marriage
The Maryland House of Delegates voted to approve a same-sex marriage bill Friday night.
Maryland is one step closer to legalizing same-sex marriage.
The House of Delegates passed the Civil Marriage Protection Act on Friday night, with 72 votes in favor of the bill and 67 votes opposing, Patch's Adam Bednar and Bryan Sears reported. The bill required a minimum of 71 votes to pass.
Perry Hall's delegation, which includes legislative districts 7 and 8, split along party lines. Only Del. Eric Bromwell, the lone Democrat among the two districts, voted in favor of the bill.
