Man Wanted for Towson, Perry Hall Burglaries

Baltimore County police have requested the public's help in locating a man suspected of two daytime home burglaries—a in November 2011 and a last month.

Police described 20-year-old Alvin Saleem Elamin Thompson as a black male, 5 foot 9 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with short black hair and a light complexion. He has been seen driving a black 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII with the license plate 1AL2707, according to a press release.

Between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Nov. 9, a handgun, about $1,200 in cash, jewelry and purses were reported stolen from a police officer's home in the 1300 block of Glendale Road in Towson. Investigators believed the burglar entered through a rear bedroom window, .

Between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 13, about $8,000 in cash and $20,000 in jewelry were reported stolen from a home in the 4200 block of Garland Ave. in Perry Hall. A rear door had been left unlocked and there were no signs of forced entry, . 

Detectives linked Thompson to the burglaries and discovered that he had taken property from both burglaries to pawn shops in Baltimore County and Baltimore City, according to a press release.

At this time, there are no known connections between Thompson and reported in the Perry Hall area last month, officials said.
