Juveniles Attempt Break-In Near Joppa, Silver Spring

A helicopter and K-9 unit responded to a burglary shortly after 7 p.m. on Jan. 10, police said.

Police, aided by a helicopter and K-9 unit, swarmed a Perry Hall neighborhood near Joppa and Silver Spring roads Tuesday evening after a reported burglary, police said.

Shortly after 7 p.m., a homeowner on the unit block of Spring Creek Way reported that three juveniles had attempted to cut open a side window screen, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct.

There was no entry and nothing was taken, Dorsey said.

A police helicopter and dogs assisted with the search for suspects, but no one was found or arrested, he said.
