Baltimore County Grants $10,000 for Downtown Perry Hall Improvements

The grant is for the commercial revitalization district.

The Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association has received a $10,000 grant from Baltimore County to beautify downtown Perry Hall this spring, according to Councilman David Marks.

Marks said the grant will go toward street banner replacements, new plantings and landscaping maintenance in Perry Hall's commercial revitalization district.

Marks authored the legislation that established the Perry Hall commercial revitalization district, which has qualified the area for grants. The district includes Belair Road between Blakeley Avenue and Minte Drive, between Seven Courts and the intersection at Joppa Road, and between Yvonne Avenue and the intersection at Ebenezer Road, Marks said.

Last year, beautification measures like hanging flowerpots were made possible by the Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association and the Perry Hall Improvement Association. "The Perry Hall White Marsh Business Association supports the revitalization efforts in Downtown Perry Hall," Lynn Richardson, president of the association, said in a prepared statement. "...we will be working with County Councilman David Marks and the Perry Hall Improvement [Association] on a long-term strategy for Downtown Perry Hall and greater involvement by local businesses."
