'Taste of the Town' in Perry Hall Raises More Than $100K for Library
The fundraising event sold out, according to Baltimore County Public Library.
More than 300 people attended "Taste of the Town" at the Perry Hall branch of Baltimore County Public Library recently for a delicious fundraising event to support children's services and early reading programs.
Tickets, which sold out, were $75 a pop for food provided by more than a dozen area restaurants and bakeries. Participating restaurants included Bertucci’s of White Marsh, Bill's Seafood & Catering, Lib’s Grill, McFaul’s IronHorse Tavern and 14 others.
In addition to the food, attendees could feast their eyes on items at the silent auction.

M&T Bank and Ingram sponsored the event, which was held for the third consecutive year at the Perry Hall branch due to its layout.
As a result of "Taste of the Town," the Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library raised more than $100,000, according to library.

The money will go toward early learning initiatives for children, according to a statement from the library, which said past programs included "Storyville" centers at Rosedale and Woodlawn branches.
