Baltimore County Man Behind Controversial Trump Ads in Ocean City
A Parkville resident was reportedly the one who paid for airplane banners with messages like "Stop Mad Cow Disease; Defeat Hillary."
PARKVILLE, MD — The man who paid for an airplane to fly controversial political banners over Ocean City has not been named. But he did tell Fox 45 after the backlash from his messaging that he felt successful.
"I wanted to make a strong message, and obviously it worked," the man, identified as a Parkville resident, said of the $800 he spent on the banner ads.
His idea was to promote the views of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump — and attack presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton — through messages along the beach.

The Parkville man behind the political banners reportedly said that he was not degrading Clinton's looks but was making a statement about the impact he believes her leadership would have on the country.

According to Fox 45, he said he was literally comparing her election to mad cow disease, since he thinks the nation is "infected" and could meet its "death" if she assumes the presidency.
Hundreds complained to Ocean City officials about the banners, which Ocean Aerial owner Bob Bunting has reportedly said he is no longer flying. In fact, he has told the media he has forsaken all political ads.
"I'm a non-confrontational person," Bunting told Ocean City Today. "When people get this heated, I don't need the money." His other clients include Geico, South Moon Under, Hooters and dozens of others.
