UPDATED: Baltimore County School Closing, Delay Information
Schools and other agencies made adjustments based on weather on Monday, Jan. 12.

Schools in Baltimore County will open later than usual or not at all Monday morning.
Baltimore County Public Schools announced that there would be a two-hour delay on Monday, Jan. 12, due to weather. School is closed for those in the Hereford zone, which includes the following: Fifth District Elementary, Hereford High, Hereford Middle, Jacksonville Elementary, Prettyboy Elementary, Seventh District Elementary and Sparks Elementary.
Much of the state including Baltimore County was under a freezing rain advisory Monday morning, and roads had the potential to be icy.

Other Cancellations, Delays
- Boys’ Latin School is opening on a two-hour delay.
- Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) campuses will open at 10 a.m. Classes or labs that would meet for less than 30 minutes after that are canceled; otherwise, they will be held.
- Friends School of Baltimore is on a two-hour delay. Students may be dropped off starting at 9:30 a.m.
- Garrison Forest School is opening at 10 a.m.
- Goucher College is opening at 10 a.m. All facilities employees are to report as scheduled.
- Loyola University is opening at 10 a.m.
- McDonogh School is opening two hours late.
- Morgan State University is opening at 10 a.m.
- Roland Park Country School will open two hours late. The admissions visiting day will go on as planned, starting at 10:30 a.m.
- St. Paul’s School is opening on a two-hour delayed schedule.
- Stevenson University is opening at 10 a.m.
- Towson University is opening at 10 a.m. due to icy conditions on Monday, Jan. 12.
Liberal leave is in effect at Baltimore County government offices, which will close at 6 a.m. and reopen at 10:30 a.m. Emergency/essential employees should report to work at their regular time.

Federal government offices in the D.C. area are opening two hours late on Monday and employees have the option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.
Liberal leave is in effect for state of Maryland employees starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, until the end of the day shift. Essential emergency personnel should report to work on time.
