Beer Distributor Moving to White Marsh in 2017

WHITE MARSH, MD — A beer distributor signed a lease for a more than 200,000-square-foot warehouse in White Marsh starting next spring, commercial real estate officials announced Wednesday.

Chesapeake Beverage Company — whose suppliers include Anheuser-Busch, Crown Imports, Diageo-Guinness and Maryland craft breweries — is currently based at 7001 Quad Avenue, south of Rosedale.

Its new digs will be 10 miles north and closer to I-695 and I-95.

“Chesapeake Beverage Company’s new White Marsh distribution center offers great visibility from Interstate 95, which is ideal for advertising," Tom Gentner of Transwestern, which represented the building owner in the lease, said. “The new location also offers easy access to the company’s customer base."

Chesapeake Beverage Company is the exclusive wholesaler for Anheuser-Busch in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Its 250 employees will relocate and start operations at the new location as of April 1, 2017.

They will work in a 244,656-square-foot warehouse, according to Transwestern, which represented building owner Principal Real Estate Investors in the leasing transaction.

Chesapeake Beverage Company will be leasing the warehouse at 10000 Franklin Square Drive.
