Car Sought In Deadly Hit-And-Run Crash On I-695 Near Rosedale
After an Infiniti left the scene of a fatal pedestrian crash in Baltimore County, police seek tips.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Infiniti that killed one person and hit a second pedestrian last week in Baltimore County is still at large, Maryland State Police reported Monday, Aug. 17.
Troopers said they received two calls Thursday about an incident on the Interstate 695 inner loop near Rosedale. A gray Ford Taurus was disabled in the center lane between Philadelphia Road and I-95, according to officials.
Investigators believe a dark gray Infiniti swerved around the Taurus and hit two people who were standing in front of their vehicle around 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13.

Amira Geovoni Jennings, 17, of Baltimore and an 18-year-old man were hit, police said. They had been outside Jennings' car, which had broken down, according to The Baltimore Sun, which reported she was captain of the dance team at Overlea High School and an aspiring beautician.
This was the second crash Jennings had been involved in since 2010; the newspaper reported she was in the backseat of her mother's car when it was hit in 2010 by a drunk driver, injuring her mother and brother, but leaving her with scratches.

After Thursday's crash, Jennings was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the man was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center by ambulance, officials reported. He was later released from the hospital, WJZ reported.
Due to the impact, Jennings was thrown into vegetation off the side of the highway, according to WBAL, which reported the 18-year-old, who was her best friend, pointed her out to authorities as he was being put into an ambulance with an injured arm that would require surgery.
After the crash, police said the car that hit the two teens left.
Police think the suspect vehicle is one of the following models:
- Infiniti G37
- Infiniti G25
- Infiniti Q40
