Chapel Hill Elementary Celebrates 'The American Dream'

Fifth-grade students performed a patriotic program in the Perry Hall school Wednesday evening.

Fifth-grade students at Chapel Hill Elementary in Perry Hall performed "The American Dream," a patriotic music program, Wednesday evening.

From Christopher Columbus, played by John Constentino, to Sandra Day O'Connor, played by Rachel Calimer, the cast of more than 50 children brought American history to life in the school's auditorium. Under the direction of Diana Ciccotelli, students performed nine musical selections.

We hope you can get as much out of this musical as our fifth-graders did performing it. In the study of American history, we are reminded of the remarkable footsteps in which we follow. How fortunate we are to be alive and thriving, still yearning and still trying to perfect "The American Dream."
