Construction of Turf Field at Perry Hall High School Set for June

The turf field will be built at the Al Miller stadium complex over the summer.

Councilmember David Marks has announced that construction of the artificial turf field at Perry Hall High School will proceed in June.

"This project will greatly enhance sports at Perry Hall High School, which has a proud tradition of athletics in Baltimore County," Councilman Marks commented. Councilman Marks is the first Perry Hall High School graduate elected to the Baltimore County Council.

County Executive Kamenetz allocated funding in this year's budget to complete the project, with additional support from Councilwoman Cathy Bevins and from state legislators who championed a bond bill last year.

“We would like to express our appreciation to the Perry Hall community and Baltimore County for their support for the Perry Hall High School’s athletic program over the years,” commented Perry Hall High School principal Andrew Last and athletic director Bobby Hruz. “We particularly would like to thank the PHHS Athletic Boosters for their energetic dedication to the turf field project, especially Paul Muller, Shawne O’Connor, and Marty Neff. The turf field and the athletic program would not be a reality without everyone’s generous contribution of time and energy to build a program that instills pride in our student athletes.”
