Cookie Cutters Opens In Perry Hall, Offering Fun Salon For Kids

The new place to get a haircut in the Festival at Perry Hall shopping center features an indoor playground.

PERRY HALL, MD - There's a new salon in town, and it's designed to make getting a haircut a fun experience for children.

Designed for those from 0 to 12 years old, Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids features a playground for those waiting for their haircuts, a fire engine hair washing station, child-size chairs, cartoons for those getting haircuts and special needs accommodations.

"...we wanted to find a business that would bring joy to children and at the same time provide a service to parents," Perry Hall Cookie Cutters owners Patty and Fig Newton told Patch in an email. "We provide a simple, fun environment for children to receive a haircut."

The couple has three children, ages 14 to 22 years old.

"We chose Perry Hall because of the families, tight-knit neighborhoods and strong sense of community that exists in the Perry Hall-White Marsh corridor," the Newtons said. "The community still has a 'front porch' feeling on a weekend."
