Councilman Marks: Enlarge the Gunpowder Elementary Parking Lot

I am in complete agreement with parents from Gunpowder Elementary about the need for an enlarged parking lot. It was a major recommendation of the task force I put together to look at improvements to the Klausmier Road corridor. Drivers must now park along Holiday Manor Road and other side streets, limiting mobility in the neighborhoods immediately around the school.

Attached is the letter I sent to Interim Superintendent Verletta White in July asking the Baltimore County Board of Education to include funding in its Fiscal Year 2019 budget submittal for an enlargement of the Gunpowder Elementary School parking lot.
