Councilman Marks: Support Question 1 and Questions A to F
If passed, these measures will better fund schools, reform the charter, and improve transportation.

In addition to elected positions, Baltimore County voters will be asked to decide several ballot issues. Question 1 will better protect lottery revenue so that it helps fund improvements to our public schools. Questions A through E reform parts of the Baltimore County charter, which is like our local constitution. For example, these changes extend the lifetime of a bill so that the public has more opportunity to review legislation. I was the author of the legislation that created the Charter Review Commission, and I support these changes. Question F broadens the purpose of the Department of Public Works so that it accommodates more transportation options, such as bicycling and pedestrian improvements. I support these questions.
