Crash on Belair Road Required Double Medevac Response: Fire Official
Two people had to be rescued from vehicle, Baltimore County public safety official reported.
A medevac was requested after a serious crash near Overlea Tuesday afternoon that shut down a section of Belair Road for hours, according to Baltimore County public safety officials.
The collision occurred on Belair Road at Taylor Avenue, Baltimore County Fire Captain Lonnie Ledford reported at 1:35 p.m.
Two people were “significantly trapped” and had to be rescued from the crash, Ledford said.

A Maryland State Police helicopter was requested to transport one person in critical condition, according to Ledford, who later reported a second medevac was called in as well.
At approximately 2:07 p.m., Belair Road was completely shut down in the area for the medevac, according to WNEW. By 2:55 p.m., the radio station reported that the helicopters had cleared the scene.

Belair Road remained closed between Fullerton Avenue and Northern Parkway due to the single-vehicle crash, authorities said at 4:15 p.m.
The Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team was investigating the collision.
