Crash in Joppa Sends 3 to Hospital, Officials Say

A crash that snarled traffic in Joppa for nearly an hour Monday morning sent three people to the hospital, officials said.

At approximately 9:40 a.m., the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported that it was called to a collision on US 40 at Joppa Road.

Westbound Route 40 was shut down until approximately 10:30 a.m. for cleanup, according to the report, which stated that three people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and one person refused medical treatment.
